I know in another post someone said that the dealer had to download an update to their '06 monte. How would you know if there are updates for your car? Can you just call the dealer and ask or is there some other way to know?

 

ya know that is a good question. but i would think that the dealer would know if they had updates and you would have to contact them to find out.

 

Here is the gm site you can put your VIN in and see all the updates avail on the modules. Gives a breif descrip of what it does and update ver. You need the Tech 2 to see what version the modules are currently before the update.
