thanks everyone! Yea most people aren't much for the quote on the back but that's just a little personal touch.

I just checked out the Cold Air Inductions website and they completely redesigned the website. It looks nice but they raised the price of the CAI to 285 from 265..grrr

Great job on the updates! I can't wait to get a pair of the halos. As far as the CAI, check out what K&N has. I just recently installed one in my SS and goodness does it make a difference. Growls when you accelerate and you can feel the power boost mainly in 2nd gear. I love it!

Looks awesome! A CAI would be nice & I'd say take the monte carlo badging off the trunk to help it flow better with the quote back there & what not

I agree with Britney the Monte Carlo emblem makes it look too crowded out back. The black and white looks good. I'd blackout the tails, reverse and third brake light to tie it all together.

Yea im really excited for the cold air intake. I'm hoping it will sound as good as everyone says haha. I plan on aftermarket exhaust eventually, but i'm still trying to find a good balance between sounding good and loudness. I just want it to sound beefier without it waking up the next town over. Suggestions? (i don't like the cut out either, i kind of want a stable sound)

I have thought about debadging the monte, but for some reason it hurts me to think about removing the letters. Now that i have the stripes it doesn't seem to bother me as bad though, and your opinions help too! I'll let you know what i decide to do!

I would also love to black out the tail lights but unfortunately it's illegal in my state and i hate tickets. The biggest thing is i have heard it can void your insurance because people can't see your break lights properly. Last thing i need is for some bonehead to rear end me and it be my fault haha. (Myrtle Beach is a melding of terrible drivers from every state)

Im thinking the black LED tails with a monte carlo overlay for the third brake light. I suppose i could tint the third light black though since they aren't really required. The reverse lights i plan on blacking out.

Thanks for the opinions and advice everyone!

I'm sure the CAI I have wouldn't fit the v6 models, but I'm also fairly sure that K&N makes a different intake for them. Not positive, but you might check into it! And as far as exhaust, all I did to mine was buy the Magnaflow Performance mufflers, not the whole system, and in my opinion, it's the perfect balance between loud, but not too loud, and smooth. Again, I realize you have the v6 model, but I would imagine the Magnaflow mufflers would have the same effect! Here's a video of another 5.3L with the Magnaflows. It's pretty close to the way mine sounds. Hope this helps!
