ok i know what the old school v8 and v6 and i6 are. but what are the ls1 ls2 is compared to the old style blocks i know the ls4 is the redesigned 393 but more effecent and has more alot more power. also what are the v6 models are the new front wheel drive what i mean is what is there classification i get whooped because i am more mazda ford guy because i have worked and owned fords and my dad has 2 mazda's a mazda 6 touring and the mazda probe aka 94 ford probe with the mazda 626 mx6 v6 engine and trans

 

all LSX motors are all aluminum & range from 346 ci (LS1) to 427ci (LS7) they all have coilpacks, drive by wire on vettes & all LS2 & up LS series rwd motors are drive by wire, 6 bolt main caps, basicly the only thing thats the same is its a pushrod v8 everything else is completly new idk what alot of the differences are though
