Default Tune Up Time

My 1988 ss has been sitting for 15 years and would like suggestions on what parts and steps I should take on my totally stock 305. Is an upgrade on the ignition worthwhile? Also thinking about a new exhaust as at least one of the mufflers are bad. Summit has a header back system for like $230. If I choose to go with headers what affordable suggestions do you have? The suggest long tube. Thanks for any help!!!!!

Well I would definitely start with making sure motor is still in tact (running good). before any other changes(spending), If so change all fluids and filters probably will need to check out gaskets for leaks(once running) due to length of time sitting. Hooker headers are usually a great choice and not to expensive. As for mufflers Flowmasters 44 series are usually the choice for most.

Yep,,,I agree with what Jake said.
Sitting that long can also have rodents eating wiring and living in your air ducts. Check all that as well.
