Have a few around me that have this edition and they sound pretty good. Wondering what exhaust came with them? Sounds like maybe Borla, or Corsa? If ya got one chime in!!

I dont see many of them, any pics and specs would be nice, just wondering what all is different.

ya I want to that aswell because I have heard a taz edition and it sounded strong

 

Space!!! You out there, i know u can find something on these cars, because i sure as heck cant!!

 

i think if you're hearing them with those exhaust, the previous owner put it on. as far as i know, all montes, regardless of type, came iwth the same, very quiet exhaust.

 

All the ones i have seen probably 3-4 of them that is, all have plastic covers over the taillights, specail ground effects, taz emblems all over the place, and on the sides it has a big TS decal denoting the taz edition. They all have had what seems to be aftermarket exhaust sticking out the ground effects, and it has a very deep rumble to it.
could if havebeen a specail dealer only option?
Im suprised nobody on here has one. They seem to be a nice package, if you like Taz. LOL!!

 

Dealer only option is probably what it is. Ive yet to hear anything roll out of the oshawa plant that was remotely loud stock.

 

the ground effects kit was an extra $1200 or something... ti came with chrome tips sticking out of two holes inthe rear bumper cut for them... every special edition Monte came with a ground effects kit ,adn thus the chrome tips in the holes cut for the exhuast. people who buy those Monte's may be enthusiasts abotu cars and hate how quiet these thigns are stock (like me)

I LOVE that Commerical!! I forgot about all the taz and NASCAR stuff going on with the new montes back in 2000.

I cant find a darn thing on the ones im talking about, not even a pic. This is driving me crazy, partially because there wsa one in my parking lot at work that has never been there before, and i have no idea whos it was. by the time i thought about asking it was gone.

 

You kinda threw me off when you said TS edition. I was thinking the 2005 Tony Stewart edition. Which a few members here have, and their stock exhaust is pretty much the same as all the other Monte SS models.

I remember seeing pics of the Taz edition (street version) your talking about. I'll have to try and find them again. It's been a while.

I love that commercial with the Earnhardts and Taz. Hillarious to see a younger Dale Jr. mocking his dad in the car.

Personally, I want these two cars. With the lights of course! Or at least the big Taz decal from the trunk lid on the one.
