Default trunk lock cylinder- have one or not?

i have an 05 and don't have one and personally like the clean look of nothing there....

but i noticed a few other montes in my town with the same look as mine yet they have the lock cylinder.. was wondering if it was the model year or the trim level that determined if you had one or not?

GM stopped installing the key lock on the Montes in 2005.
6th gen Monte's from 2000 to 2004 have the key lock. 2005 to 2007 don't.

But a few 2000 to 2004 Monte owners have swapped a 2005 trunk lid to get the cleaner look.

look at your car in your sig pic, then look at mike's (chibiblacksheep). there is a piece of trim that runs down the door and onto the quarter panel.

Lots of things came up missing when I compared my 03 to my 05...Truck lock, door trim, only 1 hood strut, no strut tower brace, no grab handle in the trunk, I think that's it.

But add a supercharger to the engine.

I think that makes up for it all :P
