Troy First Baptist Car Show 9-4-10
Alright I am wayyyy late on this but I have been super busy with work & school lately so yeah that’s pretty much the reason lol. This was the first time I went to this show bcuz I never knew about it before somehow (my bro went to pre-school here so idk how I didn’t know about it), & I most def will be going next year! One of the best shows I’ve ever been too, lotssss of nice cars & people. The set up of the show was awesome besides the fact that they only had like 8 classes….I was in the show car class bcuz hey really had nothing else (besides special interest) that my car could remotely fit in to. Tonsss of cars there which equals lots of pics =) well over 300 pics taken that day so let’s get to them
Since there are soooo many, I’m just gonna go through the album & chose random ones lol

My friend’s (customer of my dad’s) 2009 Challenger & 1969 (I think, idk it might be a ’68) Chevelle

This monte wasn’t in the show but I think it’s the one in Troy that has green neons on it (ughh!) it’s a 03 I think

1985 Monte Carlo SS that parked next to me =)

Rich’s Monte =)

The Brittinator =D this was a people’s choice show so I got to dress up my car with my stuff =)

The t-shirt of course was there with me =)

The trophy I won!

It was the most “prestigious” award so to say. Pretty much I got interviewed without knowing it lol this guy was talking to me for like 20 min about the monte & my plans for restoring cars & all & then later he brought a lady over to me who owned Miss Daisy…the yellow 55 Chevy Pickup in the following pic…

She was asking me questions in a strange way…it almost sounded like she was looking into buying a monte. But she also asked to point out every mod I have done to the car & then tell her some of things I want to do to the car (since I told her that we’d be there forever if I told her everything lol), so I just told her the biggies. Then she left after a while & I was like okayyyy & moved on. Well later after the awards for the classes were given away the lady went up on stage & started to talk about her husband who died of brain cancer last fall. He was really really into restoring cars, he thought the rustier the better…he saw the potential in cars & all that fun stuff. Then she started talking about Miss Daisy & her restoration process, she was soooo bad that you would open the door & see the floor bcuz the floor was rusted out. Miss Daisy was their last project together before he died & mannnn ain’t she beautiful! So I’m sitting there started to put the pieces together lol, I was like omg there’s noooo way, she’s totally gonna give this to a guy with a fully restored car like Miss Daisy. Well next thing I know the pic that they took of me & the monte as we drove in, was projected onto the wall. I couldn’t believe it! My eyes felt like they popped outta my head lol. She pulled me up onto stage & started saying stuff bout me & my car & was like I’ve never given this to a girl before, & she liked my custom ideas to help make my monte unique, & other stuff that made me tear up a bit lol. It was a super emotional moment for me since you guys know that I have been having a lot of problems lately trying to decide between cars & the ocean…this whole ordeal confused the hell outta me but made things kinda better at the same time, idk it’s hard to explain! So yeah after the whole ordeal when everyone was walking out, I got attacked with congrats as I walked out to the monte, which was like right in front of the building everyone was coming out of…it was super intense! But anyway, I know super long thread but oh wells =)

it really felt good to win an award with that much meaning to it & all
...Way to go Brittany ! Congrats.
You never know who you will meet and talk to at these car shows. I have met some really nice people and not-so nice people and to me that's what it's ALL about. The people.
Have you thought about making a car show sign for your car ?

Thanks! & yeahhh I go for both the people & to check out & learn about the cars. Yeah I have but it seems like I change something on the car every week so I don't wanna pay for an expensive board til next season, or at least until I'm not modding something on the car every other week lol I'll go broke having to get new ones printed all of the time

thanks for sharing with us.......
