Default Transmission Solenoid Replacement (how to access)

Hello all, How difficult of a job do you think it would be to access the Transmission Shift Solenoids for a 2007 LTZ? I have not seen any videos specific to the Monte Carlo even when you do use the same transmission. Some videos mention removing wheels and so many other parts. Thx for your time

As far as I know, they are all internal and need taking of the side cover.

I agree - they're behind that side cover. Ive seen people claim to manage to get that cover off in-car, but Ive never once seen a picture proving it - it has to come fairly far to the driver's side before it can clear all of the guts inside to allow it to come out. My guess on people claiming to have done it in car have unhooked just enough to shove the whole powertrain to the passenger side rail.

The typical procedure a transmission shop would use would be to put the whole car on a lift, then only disconnect what's needed to drop the cradle a foot or so. Then youve got plenty of room to pop the cover off / access whatever you need to in there.
