Transmission problems

My output shaft on the drivers side coming out the transmission moves up and down like crazy any idea on what it might be and how to fix it

Sounds like the shaft bushing is worn out. I believe you need a special tool needed too change it

If it's only the bushing you should be able to pull the axle and use the the tool to pull out bushing. If the bushing support is worn you might need transmission. Any way around it you'll need a special tool which most stores won't have unfortunately. I've only seen this changed once on a fwd transmission haven't personally done one bit have done bushings on a 4 wheel drive transfer case and a rwd transmission. Good luck.
