Question Trailer hitch on a 2006 Monte Carlo LT

Hey guys I've seen all of the threads about tail hitches and towing and how it affects the transmission, I don't know if the transmission is different in the 7th gen. But my dad found a nice jet ski that's he's thinking about buying and with no way to tow it I may have to since my dad has the boat already, and we'll I want a jetski

It is the same with all of them. They have a hard time lasting with just the car then add a trailer on top of it. But honestly I can't see a jet ski making a huge difference. I would be more worried if you would have said a boat haha

I would think something like that would be ok. My dad has a 2007 G6 which I am pretty sure is pretty close to the monte as far as engine and tranny and it does fine. We hall two dirtbikes with no trouble.

I honestly dont recommend doing it, these transmissions are iffy, and I mean since you have a LT, its not much wear & tear on the tranny, but still. If you guys are going to be doing trailers, I recommend purchasing a tranny cooler before doing so, so you can keep the tranny cooler while under the heavy load.
