Default Tinting

I was just wondering what grade would be the best to get for my black 2000 SS. If anyone has any suggestions please fire away. If you have a pic of yours done I wouldn't mind seeing them so I can get an idea.

Hello, welcome to the forum!!...

I went limo on the back and I think 20% on the side. I asked for the max allowed for Texas. You can see mine @ my Gallery ~ H E R E ~

Check your state laws...

I also went with a 3M high UV protective film.

Ya I would go as dark (or darker) as you can legally go.

20% all the way around. Except for the front windsheild.. which is 40%.

thanks for the feedback!

I was thinking along the lines of 20% all around. I don't think I will go limo seeing I will be pulled over within seconds.

Once again thanks for the info and I will post my pics once it is done.

By law, the darkest you can have (in Texas) in the front driver's and passenger windows on any vehicle is 35%, meaning you can get a ticket for illegal window tinting. But it will pass state inspection with 20%. Go figure. I'm a Texas state inspector and I see this alot. On my car I have 20% in the front and 5%(limo) in the back seat windows and back glass. I want it darker though...

Same for Nevada, but with a 7% allowance from regulation, so basically you can go to 28% and still be legal.

On my last car, I had limo all the way around. Hated it. Great in the day (Las Vegas: 120 degrees), terrible at night. I nearly ran over a bicycler because I couldn't see him.

I have 20% on rear 3, 35% on sides, 5% (limo) at the top of the windshield. I regret not doing the sides in 20%. Go for 20% all around, trust me!
