Tinted window's
After the holiday season I'm going to get my window's tinted as a b-day present to me. I know for sure I want to get 5% tint on the back, but now I'm also thinking about 35% tint on the front how do you guys think that will look?
Yeah on my last car I must have gotten 4 fix it ticketsfor tint. I didn't feel like being hassled anymore, so i didn't put any on my Monte.I get alot of commentssayn it looks more classy, but if It wasn't for the Police I wouldhave tintonce again.
Yeah I know what you mean. I have friendsthat have all there window's tinted and never been bother when they got pulled over for something else. But there is this one guy that works with me that has had 3 or 4 himself on his 90 Mustang. Of course it has flames and loud as hell and 400rwhp with nitrous and runs in the 11's. Wonder why he really gets pulled over, lol.
I just got an email back from the guy at Ziebart and he said it's $199.95 for 5% on the back 3 windows and for 35% tint on each side frontwindows it's $40 a window.
Also Mac7504 what % did you have on your front and back windows?

If the dealer had not tinted my windows I know I would have gotten them done pretty quickly. The dealer had 15% in the rear and back side windows, and 25% up front. I like how it looks, but every once in awhile I want to get the rear three knocked down to 5%, and the front down to 15%, but that's just me...
Yep I undestand, I would like to go darker on the fronts but don't really want them to stick out so the cops can pick on me for it. I had a buddy that had 98 Camaro Z28 with 5% on the back and 35% on the front and it looked real good
I'm going to get mine tinted too after Christmas (hoping Santa does it for me, LOL). I'll probably get what we have on the truck which is 35 and 20, I think. I like the darker but I have a hard enough time seeing at night. I think, legally, here 35 on the sides is as dark as you can go, but I think the back is fair game for anything.
I put 20% all the way around on my cars. And sometimes I have to roll the windows down if I'm trying to park in an area with little to no light at night. But that's a trade off I'm willing to make, since I like the privacy of people not being able to get a good look at what's in my car.
Edit: don't go by the darkness of the windows in my sig. That's the tint the dealership put on, 30 or 35% I think. I have to get the windows re-done in the spring. One window was re-done by the dealership (with a different color tint) when I bought it. And now the driver's window is peeling. Taking it to a good tint place that I know does excellent work. Tired of having two different color tints on my car. Plus, it's too light for my taste.
