I usually put the 03 into storage in early Nov., but I have a it entered in a National car show the weekend before Thanksgiving so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't snow until after the show. It's going right into storage right after the show.

ive driven both of mine all year round. the salt is a pain. best bet is to go to a coin op car wash and hose her down underneath a few days after the salting. i never liked driving the 80 in the snow cause of the posi, torque, 3.70s and it being light in the *** was always a pain. it still saw winter duty for 8 years though.

This is my first year with my Monte so I will drive mine until the end of October that is when we tend to get our first snow we don't salt or sand out here in Oregon they put down cinder (rock ) and there is no way I am going to put my new paint on my Monte through that

Unfortunately mine is a daily driver. It's my only vehicle. The only part of my Monte that gets stored for the winter are the factory original Dale Jr rims. I have snow tires mounted on a set of American Racing "Casino" rims. Last year I used some plain black steelie rims (sometimes advertised as "winter rims"). But it made my Monte look like I was running on four spare tires.
I know most people don't really care about the look of their car in the winter. But I do want to have some pride in my ride. Even in the winter.
If funds allowed, I would keep the Monte as a three season car. And have a Silverado or Sierra as a daily driver (to and from work) and winter vehicle.

Hi Brent, you are lucky to have a 2nd vehicle to drive on the Salt/sanded roads 4-Sure.....It's difficult to keep a Monte nice in all climates...Mother Nature can be cruel to auto's
Hope you have a mild winter 4-Real...
Below is a reminder, but I know you have not 4-got..
I don't think that I could survive in that type of climate, but I think I would have fun learning how to drive on `ice , but first I'm still trying to learn how to drive on `dry pavement LOL
Thanks for all your contributions to the MCF...It's appreciated...
