id keep the monte just because youre probably pretty deep in it money wise. when i bought my 06 a couple years back i looked at the tas too but they were to pricey for a car that was fairly old. you can get them for a decent price now a days if you really search. is the ta the m6 or a4? that and i wouldnt want to buy a ls1 car with that kind of mileage on it. is your neighbor the first owner?

Is the Monte really worth selling with all that you've invested in it? People have asked me if I'm going to sell mine and all I keep telling them is no I don't want to sell my car because I don't want to get $2500-3000 for it, lol. It would take TOO much money for me to sell my Monte.

Anyways, if you buy the TA it sounds like it'll be a good deal. The miles aren't too bad on it at least.

Hi Ryan,
Lots of pro's & con's on your thread, but again it's
your decision...It's difficult to compare a FWD Monte Carlo
against a Pontiac Trans Am 4-Sure...They are both way
different animals...
I don't think I would want either one `if I had to drive them
in your winters or bad weather.
Below is the one that I would love 2 have

Also check out the below link on what Trans Am's
are selling for (all generations on the below link: )
It should give you some idea of the Market $'s.
Keep Us updated on your Decision.
Oh, Play the lotto

I LOVE my Trans Am, and my Monte Carlo! Two totally different cars though, I like the Monte Carlo for most any situation, nice and easy to drive, park, haul stuff, people... I like the Trans Am when it is just me and one other person on nice days when I don't have to leave her in a parking lot unattended, or remote, or pick up anything big. A regular full size cooler won't even fit in the back.

I wouldn't sell your monte either, especially after all of the work & money you have put into it. I'd be glad to buy that intercooler system & roof rails off ya though =p
