SPEC-DŽ - Chevy Monte Carlo 2000-2005 Black Euro Headlights

From what I've read (not only on the above site) these are "HID compatible"...

What caught my eye first was when I zoomed in on the headlights... it looks like a projector...?

What do you guys think?

Well, those are just like the stock headlights with some black paint, so they aren't projectors. I'm pretty sure that almost any headlight can have HID's since they are similar to a normal light bulb. If you get these, I hear they are just for looks and hurt your light output compared to stock.

No they are not projectors. Just a black headlight with poor light output.

zoom in on your headlights you'll see the same thing lol

Montes aren't worth the development for potential developers. On top of that no one is willing to pay money for a good (keyword good), set of projectors

Yeah that's just the headlamp I used to have. Light output was terrible, now I'm back to stock.

If you want projectors just do a retro fit. A few members have done retro fits. You can check out HiDplanet : The Official Automotive Lighting Forum they have all the info you need to do a retro. Or if you willing to pay someone to do it HID Illusionz - HID Illusionz is having a sale.

I agree with what he says. I was just going to mention it if no one else had. Everyone on the F150 forum does a retro fit or lightning F150 head lights. There's many different headlights for my body style F150 but if you ask anyone on the forum they shoot them down and say do a retrofit. ME personally I can't see blowing $500 or more building a set of headlights (that's the average cost on the F150 forum so don't quote me for Montes) when mine work just fine but that's just me.

Honestly you can do a decent retro for under $500. From what I've seen retros can get expensive sometimes. I plan on doing one on my MC.

$500 for a pretty minimal kit if you're getting new headlights, which I highly recommend as it's pretty easy to mess up and be without headlights for some time.
