yeah i have a 05 lt and mine had some problems getting over 115 it slowed down then kept going slowly up, but that was all changed with my pcm reprogram!!! but once you get up to 130 in a monte you really dont need to do it more than once its a lil scary it seemed like th back end was liftin up guess im gonna have to get that nascar spoiler for more downforece... lol

V6 engines are governed at 107 with SS V8s at 128. This is factory set and can be overridden with a power programmer. However none are made for V6s just the V8 motors at this time.

I know for fact that i own a monte carlo that will do the speedo Plus!!
i have it over written in th factory computer to turn off the limiters and it will do every bit of the speed
and they do make one for the V-6 motors I own a 3800 v-6 in a 03 monte carlo SS
But i will also tell you after you hit about 120-130 the cars gets real light and if you dont know what your doing i would not suggest doing it.

flying high , I dotn remeber the RPM at those speeds that is not one of the things im watchign the most. But if i remeber it right it was right around 4500 rpm to get it to the top side of the speedo. and almost to 5000. to go past it . i did not push it past the red line start to much i do know that much. I have mine set to cut out just after the red line o make sure i dont go past it.

Hmm, unless the factory speedo is wrong I was going faster than 107 in my 03 LS before.... I must have been going at least 111/112, cause I was just over the 110 mark. I used to have a pic in my cellphone... [&:]

ok i was like ther eis no way LOL I know mine will do more then 118 LOL
i thought there was a programmer out for the 05's like Big J has.

the 06 monte ss does have a speed limiter or governor and its set at 140 mph, i have had mine up to 140 and then it acts like the cruise control goes on. the diablo and hp tuners programmers available are able to remove it though
