Does anyone havethe SS head rests from the 06-08 Impala's and how do they fit in the Monte?

 

Other members have reported that the Impala headrests fit fine.

 

It would make sense for GM to make all the headrest frames the same for all models, then just cover them differently for each model.

 

I went to the dealer today and ordered some 06 Impala SS headrests for my 06 Monte. The parts guy told me that is should fit, because they are basically the same car. They cost $80.00 each and he will let me try them on before he charges me for them. But it will take about 3 to 4 days for the order to arrive.

Why impala headrests? Are they better?

Got my SS-head-rests today and I'm having 2 problems.

1. How do I get the old, ones off? Pushing the button on the side isn't doing it.

2. The SS headrests doesn't have the seatbelt holder. the seatbeld holder is attatched to my old head-rests and it doesn't look like they are made to come off the head-rest.

 

There has been a couple of conflicting posts on how to get them off.

Someone said there was a hidden button.

Another member posted he just yanked them off with brute force.
