Default Spring Fever?

Does anyone out there have the spring Monte Carlo fever as bad as I do? After suffering thru another long Michigan winter I could not wait to start spring cleaning my car and start working on mods I been thinking about over the winter.

Since April 1st I've had a small dent repaired after a Michigan pothole attacked my car. While at the body shop I had them paint and install a Tony Stewart Edition grill on my white 03 SS.

I put the 20's on this weekend and its like I'm in love all over again! Next mod I want to do is upgrade the rear view mirror lights and the dome light to white LED. I thought I read a post of someone completing this mod. If so could you direct me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Got a new camera, so I will finally post pics soon.

if by spring fever you mean taking ur monte apart spending 10 hours with your brakes. 4 hours polishing and waxing and cleaning the outside. scrubbing the wheel wells steel wooling the windows, and spending an hour cleaning the enigine bay then yes i got spring fever. if thats not what you meant then i guess im just nuts.

Thats what I mean alright! It doesn't seem like its enough time in the day once you get going. Inssanity, what method do you use "steel wooling" your windows?

ok i'm bumping this because we never got an answer from adam on the steel wooling the windows thing!!

i went for a ride today and decided to wash the car when i got home. i washed it and dried it and then decided to try the clay barring thing. i got through about half the car before i started feeling mega miserable (it was chilly and i was wet from washing it). i did finish it off and i love the results. my original plan was to polish it but i was freeeezing and sniffling by that point so i just used the turtle wax quick wax i bought to go over it quickly. i could see the effects of the clay barring better on certain areas, the trunk mainly. i did use it on one of the windows, as i saw something on meguiars.com that it was ok to use on the glass and plastic, but i couldn't really tell if there was much of a difference because it was in the shade as it was and it was starting to get dark. if i feel up to it tomorrow when i get home from work i plan washing the windows inside and out and cleaning the interior again. but it's always nice to see tony all shiny when i come out of the house. always makes me smile!

i usually grab some super fine steal wool and some cleaner wax. and scrub the living daylights out of the windows. (just the outside)
makes them Super Smooth, and water beads right off
