i'm going to paint it myself with help from a buddy. im not to familiar with newer cars so i'm wanting something to help gas an airflow and all that good stuff. as far as price range, i'm thinking of just buying small mods here and there

i'm going to paint my plastic 3800 cover soon so i'll post pics when im done

You could start with the U-bend delete and maybe a CAI.

the 02 sensor is in a bend in the exhaust that is commonly called the "u bend"...it is to protect the sensor but is restricting

its alright not everyone is...for the u bend delete u dont remove the sensor completly. what u do is weld a new o2 port (bung) into straight piece of pipe...the u cut out the u bend and weld in the straight piece of pipe so that the o2 sense is on an angle. this straight pipe allows for more flow and less restriction. u out the o2 sensor on an angle up so that it is still protected from the debris that make come under the car

cai stands for cold air intake. a popular one is k and n. it allows the engine to suck in more air and perform better. some people just put a cone in place of the stock air box and filter but this is not effective. it allows the engine to heat the air goin in and that reduces performance. for a complete cai you will need a heat shield to go around the cone
