Default Slow start

When i first got my monte in 06, it would start the moment i turned the key, and it was nearly silent. In mid 07 the fuel pump died, and since then it would take 2-3 seconds for the engine to start running. I recently changed all the plugs and a coil pack, and now it takes 7-10 seconds for the monte to start, and when giving it gas while turning the key it still takes 4-5 seconds to finally get going. I think the starter might be slowly dying on me, but I'd like your guys opinions, the car still runs great and im not getting any problems, but hearing it try to start is a tad depressing.

bosch +4 platinum plugs and autolite wires.

ok ive narrowed it down a bit. I checked a few sites and found some info. I turned to the key to the on position let it sit for about 5 sec, and turned it back off, then repeated this about 4 times until trying to start it. It started instantly, so i think the fuel pump isnt strong enough to maintain pressure, although i'm told it could be a bad injector. would seafoaming fix this? im about ready for an oil change as it is.

You can try seafoam, maybe the injectors are dirty and need a good cleaning. I'm not convinced that all gas is the same. Most of it is. Some friends and I have noticed that the Exxon here in Oxford, NC yields lower gas mileage than the other gas stations... myself, a friends father, and another friend have all had the same results. Coincidence? Well, you tell me. None of us go there anymore... and that station is usually a few pennies per gallon cheaper than everyone else.

does the car seem slower off the line? or not accelerating like it used to. maybe the pumps pushing fine. just having a hard time pushing through the FUEL FILTER. lol might want to change it and see. just a $10 max diy project. great results..lol
