I'd say you're in a pickle. Camaro's are sweet, however (like everyone said) have lost their WOW factor -- at least for me. You'll always be able to find a monte to buy, but 7th gens are gonna be harder to find than the 6th. . . . hell they already are . Camaro's can be modded just as easily as the monte is, so you can add whatever floats your boat, and be happy with you're new purchase .Ultimately it's you're car and you're the one driving it.

About that demod . . . .send me some prices Been eying that hood (and the rails) for a while now :p

honestly wait for a next gen camaro and save so you can get exactly what you want and keep the monte as your daily driver to save the camaro for FUN driving times those v8's prolly cant get the gas mileage you will need if gas hits 5 dollars a gallon and you have a monthly payment to make

I'm generally not a 5th gen camaro fan... but, I have considered getting one in place of the '01... especially if I can make the Camaro look like this..

also some more fuel for the camaro bandwagon

Granted, the new Camaros are pretty common.
But no matter what vehicle you have, there's always fairly simple ways to make it "your" car..

Paint the wheels (or get new ones altogether), maybe a window decal, change up the grille, or the big one, exhaust. There's tons of options.. (as you obviously know, looking at your Monte)

I'd say go for whatever you're going to be the happiest with. If you have your heart set on a 6speed, 400 horsepower rear wheel
drive sports car then get one! Who cares how many other people have that car? Most Camaros are V6's anyway, V8 6 speed is rare these days

At the very least keep monte if you buy one. You will still have a daily and a show car that way.

it is this you made you monte your owen and i know it is grate on insurance as well. because it is considered a family two door. so it is a best of two worlds. it is more of what you want to do yes i have a mustang most of my friends plus my girlfriend said i am a trator to ford but having a back seat for unknown as well the known i would say keep it. as well see if you can get the comaro for no traid straight up. have the best of both worlds. what i mean having a sports car as well a luxury sports best of both

I say get the one that calls to you the most. Sure there are 1,000's of Camaro's out there but the same can be said for the Monte Carlo and you can customize the camaro how you want it. I would get the Camaro if it was me because I like power and the Monte is just not going to give you that. If you were on a camaro forum asking whether or not to keep a Camaro or buy a Monte, you know what the answer would be.

What I would do is go rent a Camaro for a week and see how you like it. One of the car rental places around here has a few for rent as well as some Challenger RT's.
