Being old school, (am I aging myself here, LOL) I would say go with the Cragars.
Craig, I like the first ones for your car, but really, you both have great choices to make.
I say if the wheels are going on a Monte, they (and the Monte) are going to look awesome, regardless of the choice! While we're on this subject, Craig can you do a photoshop of these wheels? I would love to see them on an 06. Thanks.

I voted for the 077's, I like the look of those better on a monte. For some reason I like the cragers more on a grand prix.

 

I don't like the look of cragers on a monte carlo - they are over used on the new Mustangs so that's what I associate those wheels with.

 

If any wheel is overused it's Tork Thrust wheels. I hate them cause you see them on EVERYTHING!

The S/S Cragars look cool and I was surprised how nice they looked on a 6th gen Monte. One thing......... Summit racing can be cheaper for the same part versus Jeg's. I know, I went through it with Summit & Jeg's on a set of custom made S/S Cragars I had made for one of my cars. Summit wsa $100 cheaper for the exact same wheel compared to Jeg's.

I too like a 5 spoke wheel on the 6th gen Montes. Infact I was looking at a set on ebay for sale not far from me for my '06 LTZ.

 

I think I'm going to stick with the stock rims for awhile longer.... maybe forever

 

Cowboy, I think of the 2 sets, the Cragers would look better in the 16" size, on your blue car, and you can't get chrome factory diamond spokes in 16", only 17", and my 077's are 18". The price of tires keeps going higher and higher as the size goes up. What ever your decision is, it is the right one for you. Even if you DO decide to keep your factory wheels. Maybe the next car?

 

One of our drivers owns a red '69 Camaro he put the new style S/S Cragars on in 17 inchers. They look nice on his car.

 

i went with 'I still like a different rim' not that i actually have a rim in mind. but i'm not a big fan of any of them for your car. of the 3 i like the 077's.... problem is, i think they look good on a black car, but not as good on a blue car. some 06+ monte/impala SS wheels might be worth tring to imagine on there, but i'd keep lookin around.
