I HAVE A 2001 MONTE WITH 207K, MANY MINOR ISSUES AND ENGINE PROBLEMS...IT was my kids car for school and work. He couldnt fix it, so i gave him my mustang and park the 01 chevy in the garage. Now i use it as a project car and fixing little by little...so far much work and money has gone into it. Its a hobby, and fun to figure out whats wrong with it....i think ill keep working on it until it comes back to life as the day it was born. Just having fun right now...i have pick of the car on my profile if you want to look at the project. Fig out

Saw the pics. of your project. Had a bad head or head gasket eh? Glad you're able to save one from the heap. In my situation, the engine and mechanical were the least of the problems. The interior was completely trashed and the beige color seems to be kinda' rare. Would have had to buy a new seat from a junk yard half way across the country and pay $200 just for shipping. Plus I just don't have the space. This was a hobby/project car, but since I was already working on another project (See "Black Knight" in my garage) it just made more sense to strip off what I wanted and send the hulk away.

Thanks owens, but I've already sent that car to the junkyard. You could probably list it on eBay or someplace and get some money for it. I think their kinda rare. When I was looking for a replacement I did a national junkyard search and one place had one in fair condition. They wanted $230 for it plus like $200 bucks for shipping.
