I would think the reason why the LTZ is more costly is because there was not that many made.
I dont think anyone has the totally figure between the models.....

I found this about why Chevy stopped making the LTZ

[edit] Models

Model
Years
Engine
Power
Torque

2006–2007
3.5L LZE V6
211hp SAE (157kW)
220ft·lbf (298N·m)

LT
2006–2007

3.9L LZ9 V6 (2006 only)
240hp SAE (179kW)
245ft·lbf (332N·m)

LTZ
2006 only

SS
2006–2007
5.3L LS4 V8

For 2007 the LTZ model was dropped along with the 3.9L engine being dropped in favor of utilizing the Flex Fuel 3.5L as the exclusive engine for non-SS models.

Hey Space
I know you are good at finding info about how many Montes were sold to date
Do you think you can dig this back up and can you find out about the numbers of each model sold

06LT3 is right about the LT3 being a great package...the 3.9 is worth it. They, Chevy, stopped making the LTZ because it was 'streamlining' production. I.E. it cost too much to have multiple models.

Cain
This is the reason why GM stopped making the LT3/LTZ with the 3.9L
This info came from GM

For 2007 the LTZ model was dropped along with the 3.9L engine being dropped in favor of utilizing the Flex Fuel 3.5L as the exclusive engine for non-SS models.

Well that's great for PR purposes but the 3.9 V6 is still being made they just don't use it in Montes.

COST!!! Dropped because it was cost effective to have less models especially since 07 was last year production.
