Interesting..... I just read a report on some flow tests a University in Ohio did on some throttle bodies. Check it out.

Stock 3800 vin L throttle body w/ screen -- 419.1 cfm

Stock 3800 vin L throttle body w/o screen -- 444.8 cfm

Nice find, did it equate what the added HP might have been as well?

I'd be willing to bet around 6HP or so....

hey mine sounds like a vacum cleaner now it is sucking like all hell compared to what it was. Before it was sucking air but nothing like it is now. next add on CAI. threw the fender well

I think I'm gonna go with a short ram intake and build a custom heat shield around it to resemble a Thrasher kit.

I can tell a big difference with the screen out and just a K&N. Can't wait to do a CAI and exhaust.

i thought of doing somethign like that also. But not real sure how to build the heat sheild wiht out having it scrathing up the inder side of my hood.Alsoi would like to fill in around behind the head lights so i can make it look cleaner in there. But we will have to look at it some more i will figure somethign out. Keep me posted to your progress. So ic an see how your doing . Would liek to see the finished progress

I haven't yet started, trying to get some of these bills out of the way. But I'll take pics of my progress when I start.
