Road noise...wheel bearings, axle, or just tires?
#21
As the tire is driven on and warms up, the air expands and the PSI goes up. So if you inflate to max and drive on the highway, you could easily be at 5PSI OVER max. Run what the placard says, not the tire.
If you do want to do the job yourself, I recommend buying TIMKEN wheel hubs. They are phenomenal quality. Those cheap-o eBay ones and other brands usually wear out in 6 months.

X2 Don't skimp out on the bearings by getting some cheap off brand. It will cost you more in the long run when you have to do the job again in a couple of months. Timken is of excellent quality and my first choice, but if for some reason you can't find them look for SKF bearings.

Car is in the shop.
My salesman (which i grew up with) is covering the bill to have it repaired!
They hadn't told me what it was yet. Not that it is relevant since they are just going to fix it!!
I am interested in finding out what it was though.
I'll let you guys know.

Ok. They called and said they definitely hear the noise. After checking all of the front parts they came to the conclusion that it is the tires. He said something about the tire looks like it is coupled? He said they should be fine to drive on for the rest of the winter though.
I can finally sleep at night... Syke I didn't lose any sleep over it. But I feel relieved!
