What am I looking for? A pin? a small hole for a paperclip? It's in the single digits outside and I just got my neoprene covers....I want to get them on tomorrow, early, and need to know what I should be looking for when I'm out there freezing my cajones off!!

ok yeah your looking for abutton,
Look at the bottom of the post where they go in to the seats. there is a small button there Almost looks like it is molded that way and it is not a button but it truley is LOL
then raise them all the way to the end once there hit the bitton and it shoudl come up out of the seat for ya.
