2 weeks is an exaggeration, not saying that you're wrong.
I got my tints done, 20&5%'s
I was told to keep the windows up for 2 days, and i could have them rolled down just a bit, because it was like 90 degrees constant.
I did so, and i have no bubbles, nor wrinkles after doing so.
But don't know, may depend on the tint, i don't recall the brand my tint-man used.

did your windows stick? i tried rolling them down today and they didnt go back up very fast...probably some water crap on them still making them stick..if this doesnt go away ill have to go back and complain tho, i paid cash and didnt get a receipt =p, but hes a highly recommended guy so im sure ill be fine
ahh gotcha. i've always been told that you shouldnt roll your windows down for at least 3 days. i've never heard of weeks before & mitch are they like thin lines down the window or are they large spots or something on it? Because my monte on both sides has 3 thin vertical lines on them from rolling the windows down =( i hope to get it fixed someday
Yup, thats exactly what I have, I can feel mine with my fingernails too. it's very irritating, you can't see them from the outside if you are not looking for them but it still bugs me. Really? Is it kinda bubbling around the defroster lines? I'm getting my back window redone from a guy who may be able to do it under warranty for free bcuz mine looks like crap at the top of the back windows where all of the lines are bunched together. What did he tell you to do?

I like to take things to the extreme so that they don't get messed up when I pay for something haha.
2 weeks may be overkill, but I would rather keep the windows up for 2 weeks to just ensure that the tint is fully fully dry and set properly.

When I had my tint done, I was told to keep the windows up for 3 days, so I kept them up for 5 days.
I have no bubbles in my tint, and it looks great 3 years later!
As for the bubbling at the top, my tint guy did not tint the VERY top of my rear window (where all the really close black lines are) the first about 4 inches at the very top, he left off the tint, and but a solid black strip to cover those lines. Its kind of like a tape I guess. But it actually sticks to the lines up there...It looks real good, and once it does not shrink you window really, because you can't really see out of the top portion anyways from the really close black lines that the factory puts up there.

thanks guys, maybe ill ask him about doing all black up there once i take it back but im gonna see if i can make it work today, also the most recent update today took my car to autoglass specialists and fixed a big ugly chip in my front windshield so now nothing distracts me under the tint line =] hah
I hear ya, better safe than sorry.
