Default Recall Notice... Impressed by GM

Just got a notice from GM that my MC has a recall on it.. I bought it privately and the dealership tracked my down and told me about the recall.. I must say Im impressed by this. Its about the engine fire problems. I will be making my appointment soon, hopefully they can track down my ABS problem too

I know the '03 Pace car had one of these recalls on it. It has to do with oil accumulating under the valve cover and this being a potential fire hazard. First the valve cover has to leak. Then the oil has to accumulate on the plug wire holder put on by the factory.

Tell me about ABS recall.

every vehicle in amarica after 95 has abs if some one said or it didnt mention abs is because it is standard on the car and didnt need to be mentioned. my monte said it didnt have abs but every thing is there it is just a missprint and standard. if you havd a abs light you have abs. remember it is a curent car it has abs if a shop said it didnt have it just yell law suit and what do you mean are you trying to make me have a accedent be loud about it. then they will have to fix it or they will be hurt do to the scene you made.

That is not true that every car after 1995 has ABS. ABS is only standard on mid to upper priced cars, but your bare basic Cavalier, Escort, Corolla, Cobolt, Focus, Aveo, Etc., Etc...does NOT come standard with ABS to this day!

I had a 2009 Cobalt as a rental car in July of 2009, it was not even the base model, it was a midlevel LT model, and it did NOT have ABS.

I think in 2006/2007 all Monte Carlo's, even LS models came standard with ABS, I am not TOTALLY positive on this note, but i'm pretty sure. (this would be an perfect example of how slightly more expensive cars (meaning more expensive than an Aveo or Cobalt) usually come standard with ABS.

And I believe you are correct about the '06/07 Montes.
