Just had this vinyl laying around from quite some time ago so I thought why not apply it. Seeing how my WS6 styled hood is pending sale/pending being painted, really unsure at this point. I have a place to paint it but I also have someone interested in purchasing it which would be kind of nice to do some more performance mods instead of spending more on the hood to have it painted Currently just playing the whole, show up with cash and it's yours but not getting a solid reply kind of game, truly it's getting old and I'm close to just saying it's not for sale and going to be painted. :p

Anyways, Keep in mind it's only a decal, not permanent. Thinking I'll leave it on for a while and see what kind of comments I get. Better pictures will come later if I decide to keep it around for very long

 

Look good to me, I think the stripes lend an air of a race car theme to our vehicles...Colors are correct... I say they rock!!

 

Thanks Zippy! I agree, I really like the look of them on your Monte as well. If I decide to keep them around I may get some that extend further down the hood and possibly do the trunk/spoiler

 

Personally, i think it looked better pure black man! The solid black hood looked MEAN!

I wonder how those stripes would look on my 5th gen? I was thinking of stripes on the hood roof and trunk. and spoiler.. Its definately looking unique for sure!

MEH not a huge fan i think strips and the flages down the sides are a bit much,

funny thing is i keep seeing this gold 7th gen(non ss) with black flags and stripes, i just am not a fan!

 

Very true, the black did/does look good. Just something to change it up for a bit. IMO the decals serve more purpose on the car than sitting around my garage LOL. I probably won't have any silver on my other hood once it's painted but who knows

Yeah it seems like a lot of going on with all of the silver but I no longer have silver wheels so this is my compensation But yes I do agree it's a bit much, glad I didn't continue it onto the roof. I kind of like it just on the hood for some reason IDK lol.

 

Yeah kinda clashes with the flags, be better if it was a fade vinyl like the flags

 

Yeah I thought about that lol! If I do any stripes on the WS6 style hood they will definitely fade to black Still unsure on that though
