Wish you luck.

Did your estimates include having the stripes done under the clear coat or on top? I know mine he was going to go down to metal and repaint and cover all with new clear, repainting every panel with a ding or scratch.

Can't wait to see how it turns out for ya. I'm still considering a jetstream blue repainting with light silver twotone.

I don't know which rotors yet, I have searched for some from the namebrand brake companies but no real luck there, so far I have seen the ones on ebay, don't know yet.

As for the stripes being painted on that includes clear coat and a smooth surface and the price doesn't include the fixing of my ding.

For the ding and scratches I want to have the dealership fix it because they will match my paint the best and will make it like it didn't happen.

that is a myth about the dealers. they tend to be the biggest butchers.
i work in a body shop and have statisticly seen (and been a part of) dealerships repaints. but you might be lucky. who knows. i would do research on local body shops see if you cant find anyone who has used it and look at their car, for runs, sanding spots, scratches, etc.
then you can request a color matcher come from they paint supplier. on really tough colors at the shop we have someone come in to do it.

White can be surprisingly difficult to match. The warmer whites have some red in them, and the brighter whites have some blue in them. You can really tell the difference when put side by side.

THAT IS TRUE FOR WHITE. BUT IF YOU HAVE A GOOD COLOR TINTER, OR GET ONE THAT IS SPECIALIZING, LIKE WE DO, FOR DIFFICULT COLORS LIKE WHITE AND3 STAGE. IF YOU HAVE THE TINT YOU JUST NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN FINISH IT THE RIGHT WAY. TAKE MY CAR FOR EXAMPLE. FROM THE DEALER IT WAS GOOD, STRESS AND WEAR REVEILED THE DIFFEERENT TINTS (ON BLACK) AND THE STRESS MARKS WERE THEY REPAIRED. THEN THERE WERE RUNS ALL UNDERNEITH THE LOWER SPOILER, AND IN THE GRILL DAM TO. IT IS ALL FIXED NOW

I think it looks really good the way it is now. a light blue stripe might look good like a 69 trans am color scheme. has anyone seen a yellow monte with black rally stripes. I have been wanting to do mine.

I tried touch up paint from sherwin williams with my paint code and it didn't come out too great, I talked with the dealership and they know how to blend the paint to match perfectly, no car even after how many they do in the same color are an exact match, they always are a little different.

Yellow and black racing stripes is always a good choice that is a color combo done on camaro's.

Amp Green would be cool, I might order a set of my black camps and and have a set in amp green to match the stripes later on or have a little accenting on the black caps in amp green to match the stripes for my wheel covers. I will play with these color ideas sometime on the computer.
