Default q? To all who use synthetic

I was thinking of going synthetic and I know you can run about 15,000 miles on synthetic oil. But I was curious even if using a WIX filter do you need to change the filter more then once? Or is it changed when you do your oil change? But my main question here actually is for those of you using synthetic do you leak at all? I have heard that changing to synthetic sometimes leak oil a little. I was curious if any of you have this problem running synthetic?

Thanks
Jason

I picked-up my Monte with 69,000 Miles on her ... all of them run on Mobil-1. The PO was "Pretty good" about the interval between changes; at least that's what the paperwork showed. I'm running Mobil-1 10-30 for this Winter and staying with the Mobil-1 swapping to 5-30 (Recommended) when it warms-up a little bit.

I check for leaks every day and eyeball the dipstick every time I get gas.
So far, she hasn't either leaked a drop or "Used" any oil and I KNOW I get-on-it harder than the woman I bought this Monte from ever did.

I'd say use the Synth and be good about the interval. I don't expect to go beyond 7,500 Miles on the Oil and Filter; even though they say you can go further on the Synth without it breaking-down.
My plan is to be good to her ... and, hopefully it will be good to me.

I think I'll be doing my Oil and Filter inside 75-Hundred to be on the safe side.
I hope; I hope!

I use valvoline durablend. It's 50% synthetic.

They poured Modile-1 in my '06 when I had the oil changed.

So far so good.

There are some filters being made for 7,500 miles and I change both oil and filter at the same time.

Should I go with Mobil 1 10-30 or the Mobil 1 Extended Performance?

Depends on where you live.

If the temperature gets below 35-Degrees ... use 10-30 until the weather warms up ... then, change it to the recommended 5-30 for the good weather.
