Okay, I turned on my car and when i would accelerate, its making this loud whining noise almost like its from the steering wheel and turning the car takes a little more muscle than neccesary. I have no Idea how this could have happened but id like to know what it is. Sometomes the whining sounds like it is coming from behind the steering wheel and sometimes it sounds like its from under the hood on the passengers side. Is it still safe to drive? I have to meet a friend today really soon and i need to know asap. Thanks mcf!!! Always come through for me!!!

 

it could be just about anything. maybe something going wrong with the power steering have you checked your fluids? another thing that i might assume is wheel bearings. any other info that you can come up with would be great help

 

Definitely check your PS fluid. If you complain steering is harder, then power steering should be pretty obvious

 

Well I started the car and when i drove it, it completely went away. It wasnt like EXTREMELY harder. It just went from normal to just a slight bit harder. Nothing to complain about. Whatever it was its gone...... for now haha

 

Still wouldn't hurt to check your power steering fluid

 

Deff check your PS fluid, its under the altinator PITA to get to lol
