Great pics of two very bad *** Montes. Both you and Sam did excellent work on your cars.
The only thing I would possibly change is, get rid of the chrome gas door on Sam's car. He did such a nice job with everything else.
But the chrome on the gas door just has an autozone-chrome look to it. After all the hard work he put into the car, that gas door is what people will remember when they walk away.
Great work guys! Thanks for posting your pics!

It's obvious the both of you have dedicated a lot of time and effort in your cars. I'm sure the pride factor puts an ear to ear grin on your face every time you slide behind the wheel. Great job guys!

Agree 100%. Especially on a silver car. . . .sticks out like a sore thumb. Don't get me wrong, he's put a LOT of time into making that monte look amazing, i'm just nit-picking
I hope i never come up on him at a light
This was a treat for Sam to be able to take his Monte on a cruise. The build has been going on for over 2 years now. Now the Turbo a GT45 is proving to be to small as it flat lines at 4000rpm. Borg-Warner had their techs out recently and are looking into how they may be able to enlarge the Turbo's Interior and if not possible then it's moving components, changing pipe bends etc. and changing many components to allow for a larger turbocharger. We hope to be done by August for the "Dream Cruise" in Detroit. It is such a serious build, anything that can leak from extreme pressure levels to component failure seems to happen. Much of the same my build went through. There are GM exec's who will be going over this Monte when it is back home in Detroit.
Thank everyone of you for your comments, either good or critical observations, no one builds a perfect car without many people contributing to it with their views. Sam's Monte, did you see the dash? Over the top, no pods, had the whole dash redone, lol it's a marvel to see.
I'm helping finish a video this tomorrow of the Canyon Cruise, hopefully it turns out very nice. Again Thanks for all the very kind words, we all try in our own ways to bring respect to the Monte's, after all they are a unique car and the more we care for them the longer the legacy will continue for others to appreciate when they see a 5 year or 15 year old Monte looking like new rolling down the road....Everyone gets a round of applause for their own efforts with their Monte's....

Greg: You have to be my biggest supporter and I can't thank you enough for that. Everyone here should know that if it wasn't for you my project would have never happened. And as usual we have run into difficulties/issues. I see you must have made this post after we talked. Yeah, can you beat this, my turbo may be too small. The motor is pushing too hard and spinning it at over 140K RPM's at 4200 RPM engine speed when the turbo's max output is achieved at 105,000 which should be at my top RPM level around 6200RPM. Like you said Matt is working with both Garrett and Borg Warner to correct the issue without going to the next size up on the housing, increase the internals from 78mm to 88mm. The turbo just got back from resizing and is being installed this week. Had to change out the radiator again, second one went bad. Wizard not a good brand/manufacturer. Swapped it out for one with 18Fins/inch instead of the usual 16 - more cooling capacity and I do need that. Changing the damper because the stock LS4 one we had really isn't suited for the harmonics of the LS7 so ATI in Maryland is custom making one for me. The 200 amp alternator from DC POWER has not arrived yet and Matt wants to swap out the front lower control arms and use Joni Joints in place of the Heim joints and those are currently on back order with ZZP - we do have an issue with the front end slamming and Matt thinks it's because we changed the geometry when we lowered the cradle. Hey guys I swapped out my whole front end with an Impala front end really came out great; the reason was the Impala front end has alot more open area for more air flow - more air more better! Moved my rear trailing arms in more, widened my rear wheels and now I have P275's in the rear inside the fenderwells . Really trying to give it that rear wheel drive stance. I think it will look pretty neat. What is basically left is mostly part installation.
The alternator, the radiator, the tranny pan spacer, fitted wheel adaptors, billet flexplate, the turbo (which I hope works because if it don't I will need the next size up and then I will need a new and smaller vaccum booster to make room for a larger down pipe) the damper, the control arms, align everything and do what I hope is the final tune. More recently I have gotten involved with the people at Martin Motorsports here in town and they want to unveil my car at the dream cruise in August (got my fingers crossed I will make it) with alot of the industry's media present and I am sure some influential automotive people. Matt is or has communicated with Martin Motorsports in coordinating the delivery of my car. Enough said I am catch up more later. Taz you really think my fuel door looks that cheezie?? I can always put the stock one back on.
