Ok so I search the forum extensivly about smoking or blacking out the tail lights. I also looked at getting those new LED tail lights with the black background.

None of them appealed to me. Soooo...

I contacted my stereo shop friend who owns a very high end shop. He had a Black Mercedes SUV in the shop and told me the they were painted with a new special transparent paint. Not this stuff bought off the shelf for $10 bucks. So I asked him to shoot mine. Well it cost $249 bucks and was WELL worth is. I mean a picture speaks a thousand words. So here they are

250 bucks is a little steep IMO butthey sure do look good.

Hear they are at night lite up and with the flash...

i think that is cheaper than the price for those black LED lights (which, having now seen a couple of install pictures and comparable smoked lenses, i have decided on tint/smoke/paint). if it's not too much, could i see a pic of brake lights lit during the day? (don't want to get rear-ended when it's sunny out!

 

that is a absolute ridiculous price when the vht cost about 20 bucks and gives you the exact same result.

 

That actually shows brighter than I expected.
But I'd like to see them lit up in sun light too.

 

I love my tinted tails, get compliments on them all the time. I paid $200 for mine and they are such great quility and they look great. Mine show off about the same amount of light as yours. Looking good. Also for nightshade I have a buddy that did that on his Sentra and they don't look as good as mine
