The 3400 is the next level up of the 3100 (same block, bigger bore as what I have in my Grand Am). It's a really reliable engine. I'm pushing 220,000 on the '94 and engine/trans (different trans then the Monte) run like new, never been completely rebuilt. I have faith in these so much, for a winter beater my wife has a '05 Impala we bought with a 3400 and 150,000 when we got in December of 2009!!! Runs GREAT and I think it rides as smooth as the Monte.

That to me sounds like an awesome deal! Yeah it may be old but damn that's almost like getting a new car at 10k.... Your closest bet to that would be a cheap, plastic toyota econobox
I payed $8000 for my 2004 Super Sport with 88k. Came with all the options, and a ton of wear and tear on the paint, and a little on the interior. |
The one your posting is an LT. The 2005 LT is the same as the 2000-2004 SS. In 2005 all SS cars were supercharged, so the L36 model was badged as an LT.

Basically you are trading a higher price for such low miles. Try bringing him down but appears to be a sound monte. Do you have a Mechanic friend to check it out? Not too much could be wrong at those miles. Sure you don't want to hold out for a SS?

haha I have an SS myself its for her its between a VW bug and this car at the moment so im just gonna se which is better

Its an LT basically the same thing as an SS

It is better if you are going swimming or driving naked I hate sticking to my seats.

Looks nice! Should last a long time if that is the correct mileage....
