Default Old gauges to new gauges???

Hey guys, I got a quick question. . .I have a 2000 LS with the standard 4 guage set up. . . Gas gauge on left, temp guage next to it, Speedo in the middle, and RPM's on the right, I was wondering if it'd be possible to switch this guage set up, to that of an SS maybe?
The guage set up thats got the 4 gauges on the left, speedo in the middle and RPM's on the right? Would the other funtions work such as the battery and whatever else the 4th option is? Just curious and would like to change it. Thanks.

yes i have heard of others changing the LS set up to teh SS one and also have heard of them changing it to the one out of the Grand ams with the H U D system in them.

but the easy way is if you look in my photos you can see the overlays that i have in mine. they are speedhut but you can find tons of diffrent styles out there now. and most look really sharp.

mine were like 100.00 shipped . but if you go to Ebay and punch in speed hut you can find them cheaper.

You can switch to the SS gauges, however the Oil gauge will not work with the 3.4L motor, all other gauges/functions will work. You also must get the gauges from a 2000 SS or other functions will not work correctly.

You'll need to have the correct mileage programmed into the SS cluster as well (I am able to provide that service)...

The sensor is only half the problem... the 3.4L PCM doesn't know how to output the oil pressure via OBD-II message needed by the cluster

could be wrong, but i think i heard 2000-2003 can interchange.... and i was thinkin, a guy could just take the cover off, pull the oil press needle and reset it somewhere that looks nice. doubt many ppl would ever know the difference.
