I didn't watch the video, but LS4's are incredibly notorious for oil consumption. Most of it due to the displacement on demand/active fuel management system that shuts half the cylinders down. When it switches back and forth, often a puff of smoke comes out. Shut the system off with a tune and you're generally good to go.

Some are worse than others. My ls4 uses very little oil, but plenty of people have had the issue.

That's one way to do it, best way is to have it tuned out.

Default Mileage w/o AFM

Whats the mileage without the AFM? If its not to bad might turn it off. To help with the oil issue.

My MPG with AFM is 22. Without, it was 13. I did the math and it was cheaper to replenish the oil than to waste the gas, even if I ran 87. Also keep in mind that we have a president spoiling for a war with Iran. Gas could be $4 a gallon before you know it.

That said, to use an awful pun, your mileage will vary. Some people here don't even have a consumption issue. I know I have a reputation here for making sweeping, absolute statements, but this isn't one of those times. You literally have to track your consumption and see what makes sense for you.
