I like the idea of forced induction, but I want a differnt style hood just to be a one off. I have talked to my body guy about playing around with a cowl type hood.
I also spent some time looking at the engine bay area and I think I might be able to come up with an intake system that would grab air from the lower front fairing playing off the Speedbuilt fenderwell intake system. Next weekend I am going to play around with some sheet metal to come up with a template for a plastic/fiberglass air duct.

no color schemes. its just gonna be superior blue to match the car. im putting the hood on the car myself with help of 3 buddies. lol first time putting a hood on a car so it should be interesting

hoods are not hard but i know what you mean on trying to get them on and off.
things to help you
go get some masking tape tape around the fenders where you hood gose so you dont scratch your paint and also b4 you take the old hood off you can mesure the gap all teh way around (not always nessasary) but then you have a refernce to it when the time comes.
