Default oh my poor MC!!!

well it all started last week. my mc started to act funny, not accelerating, then ketching the gear and making a hard bang sound, then shifting extremely hard shaking my whole car. took it into chevy on friday went back in and found out it was an external part that needed to be replaced. i was suppost to get it back today but i called in to check on it and found out i now have metal shavings inside my transmission. not getting it back for another 2 days. i am stuck with my rental car "Chevy Aveo" and i am now going through speed withdrawls lol. i miss my mc.[&o]

Sounds like a torque converter problem.

I had this happen in my '86 LS once. No thanks to the idtio who used to own the car. The dealer wanted $1700 to do the work. A local trans shop did it for $400.
