So a (stupid) question for all you white car owners. My last car was a silver ranger. I washed it no more than once a month and it always looked fine. But, my MC is white. Its a whole different story.

Now I understand that white cars can be hard to keep clean but mine just seems ridiculous. I washed it two days ago and it already looks like $hit. Is there some kind of trick or product that I don't know about? I would seriously love to know.

I'm just about to give up on trying to keep it clean...

Thumbs down Car cleaning tips :)

Well, its not uncommon for our great white cars to get dirty after the first hour of driving after you clean it here is what I like to do.
I take it to the car wash (manual of course) and spend the minimum to get it going. Spray is with the high pressure for the 2-3 minutes it gives you, then take it for a nice high speed cruise to get it REALLY dry.

Then I take it home and get my handy box of cleaners and waxes and all my other crap>>

And really get in there deep, start with the inside of the rims and work my way to the outside of them. Then I take some NON-AMMONIATED window cleaner and some shop towels to the WHOLE REST OF THE CAR (thats also what I use for the rims).

After im done wiping off the whole car, rims and everything, I wax the head/tail light lens, wax the windows (yes the windows. Its harder to get the wax off, but its worth the extra effort), wax the rims, then I wax the whole body (only do the body every three days though).

While Im letting the wax get nice and dry, I take my tire FOAM ( I will never use that oil in the spray bottle) and spray the foam on a fine spunge (not the tires themselvs cause of spin off) and wipe the tires down really good. After the foam dries, I wipe the tires off with one of my shop towels and do those two steps over.

Now its time for the crappy part, getting the wax off everything. But its so worth it when you see your car is a little dusty and it takes no more than 10 min to clean your car again. Thats why I like to wax it every three of four days, so you can take the non ammoniated window cleaner and give it a quick wipe down and it looks freshly waxed.

BTW, everything you see in that pic is what I use to clean my car other than that old computer of course, in the plastic bags, I keep the spunges for the tire cleaner and foam. You see three different waxes in that box also, the is one for hte body which is pretty thin, there is the shorter circular container which is kinda thick for the rims, then you see a bottle that gets skinnier as it gets to the top, that one is really thick for the windows and the tail head light lenses.

Hope this helps, but again, these white beauties get dirty VERY fast, nothing to worry about, just remember, you keep your car clean and people will notice.

THE WAY A PERSON TREATS THEIR CAR, IS HOW A PERSON TREATS THEIRSELF.

Awesome. Just the kind of response I was looking for. I really appreciate it. My car is by no means a show car, but I really wanna keep it clean enough to turn some heads.

That looks pretty cool with teh 7th gen rims. I would paint that side skirt though well both of them for that matterLOL. It just makes our cars look too dam high when that ground effects are stock black. Do a photoshop or even doit with some sort of paint on your computer and see what a difference there is with the GE white.

yeah that's one of the many things i have left to do, paint job is about last on my list i want to get a complete respray with some pearl white. Ive been side tracked with other crap though so rims and tires was the last thing i did. i got the interior black carpet and black suede for the headliner sitting in my garage i really want to get around to doing that.

White & black vehicles are generally the two hardest colors to keep looking nice.

I am really not a white vehicle person. Blue is my favorite color. Just about every car I own is white in it or on it.

Pretty sure there's already a white thread going. Around the same time Montelicious Lisa started the black thread. Pretty sure there was a red thread started back then too.
