GMPartsDirect.com has the license plate filler cover for $79.31 brand new.
They actually list it as "filler cover license plate" in the front bumper and components sections under 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo.
But you could always try junk yards and used ones from the net.

I got my exact color for my 05 there and it was in pretty good condition - small hairline crack at the very top and a couple of scratches here and there, but I got it for around $25 shipped. You can always find one in any color and have it painted.

Thanks for the info! Actually I see morad has alot of good stuff for our Montes on ebay too. I will be on the lookout. Is it something I can put on and take off? Plus condition doesn't matter, front bumper getting a repaint in the near future. Previous owner must have felt her way through the streets with the corners of the car, lol. One piece at a time.....I love this forum! :0)
