Question octane

whats the highest octane i can run through my 3400 safely??????????

You could run 110 octane unleaded race gas if you really wanted to...but its a waste.

Your car is designed to run on 87 octance, so thats all you need. Unless you have the mods/ tuning to run higher octance, you will see nothing out of running premium or higher.

well, i run 93 now and there is a HUGE difference from 87 so...

Are you sure you actually notice a difference. I've never noticed a difference in any car i've ever owned that is tuned for 87 octane. I think your wasting your money.

scan your car for knocks, you probably have an engine issue if higher octane REALLY is making it better.

knock will = HP lost.

Alright guys im gonna fill up with 87 today we'll see how it works this time you all seem to know whats goin on so... we'll see.
