On September 16th, the Oakley Almond Festival kicks off with a parade through the town. If a group of us get together we could be a part of that parade, and then end up at the car show at the actual festival. Oakley, my hometown, is pretty small, but everyone comes to the Almond Festival (Oakley is famous for its almonds...so we have a festival) The festival then runs on the 16th and the 17th but if any of you would be coming from far away, the 16th would be the day to come in order to be a part of the parade.

I think it would be awesome to have a group of us Monte's driving through town in the parade. We could have a sweet banner made up to have walked in front of us as we go. We still have plenty of time to get this setup so please let me know if you're interested. I know us West Coasters are sparse and even more so in the bay area, but I hope we can at least get 4-5 guys for this. If not, I'll just be running the parade all by myself!

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll get you all the info (directions, registration forms, etc)

 

1600 miles would be one hell of a raod trip for me... Take lots of pics for us....
