who would put a bra on a 57!! thats crazy, my dads got a 56 and i just couldn't imagine it

I've seen them on '55s, '56s, and '57s.

Not as popular as they once were on Classic Chevies but then neither is restoring one to original. Now it's slightly hot rodded with billet this and that, crate engines, custom interiors, and wheels by Boyd.

I for one am not impressed with the "Cookie Cutter" look.

Hey, cain...you tend to favor white cars or is it just the luck of the draw?

It was luck of the draw. I'm actually not usually a fan of white. Kind of plain. I like black or grey usually. Love dark colors but they are a pain to keep clean but look the best when clean. I'm growing more fond of my white one though as time goes by....so easy to keep clean unless you get tar on it. That happened one day last week and only on the passenger side too. Took over an hour to get it off.

I liked the white look when I was a kid until some of us got together and started doing reverse drops in a Chevette we were test driving from a dealership. Needless to say we spent 15 minutes with a paint scraper taking rubber off the back quarterpanels that had burnt off. We were totally sweating it when we brought it back to the dealership. Luckily he never noticed.

HA!! That's funny! I see lots of videos on KillSomeTime.com of guys taking rentals and shredding them. I couldn't do that, man...too scared something would happen! (love watching it, though.[&:])

James,

Don't sweat what anyone says, its your money, your car, your taste, style and personality all wrapped up in a very nice little white package.

Thanks Solara. That's what I tell my dad too. He doesn't like them because you can't see the front of the car very well but that's not the point. It's about the protection it gives.
