Default New score for the 97 Monte!

Just scored a set of NOS Genuine GM 95-99 Monte Carlo splash guards for the 97 Monte! Cant wait until spring to put them on. Maybe sooner if I get too eager!

In Spring, I plan to do the following:
  • Install splash guards
  • Have the rust repaired
  • Have the deck lid rubbed out
  • Spoiler painted and installed (depending how the $$$ goes with the rust repair; that's more important)
  • Sand and paint the muffler & tailpipe flat black with high temp paint
  • New chrome exhaust tip
My aunt will wish had the car back then!! Maybe she'd trade back for her 2011 Impala LT (Mind you, she bought it in July, and it still has just 70 miles on it) hehe

Here is the eBay link to the splash guards:

Yup. I found some for the 74 Monte too, but I don't think they would look good. I've got the sport Rally wheels and raised white letter tires, and a loud growling exhaust. Mudflaps are grandpa-ish...that's not a grandpa-ish car. If my car looked more like Cort's 76 Monte, it would be more appropriate.

Just couldn't pass these up for the purple car.

They have the same sets all over here in Napas everywhere. Napa carries tons of mud flaps/splash gaurds and these are just one of many

Why would I want only two guards when there are 4 wheels?

I think they would look odd being on the front. Just going to put mine on the back.

Those will look good when you get them on. If your having body work done I would see how much more it will be to get the spoiler painted since they will already be doing some painting.
