The new monte

Well it was nice and warm today (almost 50) and i finally had the time to take some decent pictures of the new monte. So here we go:) For the time being i stuck that monte plate on the front since i dont have my actual NY plates yet, just a temporary conneticuit plate.

These wheels i'm confused on, they don't appear to be from the Dale Jr. edition or the tony stewart edition. Atleast the centercaps aren't, maybe its a bit of a mix? Anyone have any ideas?:rotfl:

Love it man!! How long till it's payed off? I can't wait to see what you do with it  Congrats!

ZIPPY02 01-06-2013 01:29 PM

Excellent! An Intimidaor, thats BA..... You just can't go wrong with the OEM wheels, love the look of them. I'll have your motor home, would love to have something that nice. Obviously your enjoying your life!! Anyway it's nice to have another Super Monte in your and our family........

JuniorCar 01-06-2013 01:44 PM

Its a great car! Those are the way the diamond cut wheel design looks best (w/ paint), but I don't know what happened there. I didn't think they were painted on the Intimidators. When they are painted like that they sort of compliment the trademark DEI "E".

Whatcha got planned first? Engine cover needs painting ...

03JGMonte 01-06-2013 03:53 PM

Rims are aftermarket or oem dale jrs the center cap is oem intimidator, car looks great

lougreen03 01-06-2013 04:15 PM

The intimidators had chrome wheels but those do look good on a black car. Nice car Keane.

DE02Carlo 01-06-2013 04:21 PM

Yeah the wheels do look good on it! Nice car!

Jomao_o 01-06-2013 04:34 PM

Definitely a nice car, congratulations.

zjerry 01-06-2013 04:36 PM

Nice Intimidator.. Some People call my Monte an Intimidator because it's Black and came with the chrome wheels...:rotfl:

I forgot to say I love the heartbeat plate. Too bad you cant keep it on.

Leprechaun93 01-06-2013 04:52 PM

Thanks guys, its a 5 year loan to keep payments low. But i intend to probably double up on payments as long as i have the money. But it'll probably be a couple years before its paid off in full. Maybe i'll have to see if i can get my hands on the dale jr. center caps to complete the look. Engine cover, i think im actually gonna take the rest of the silver paint off and i might leave it that way. Not really sure yet, but my head has been swirling with ideas today. :rotfl:

I wish i could keep that hearbeat plate on too, i've had it sitting around for atleast a year. Have to see what pans out when my actual plates come in. At some point i do plan on getting custom plates, NY has some that'll be awesome with this car. Heres a few more pictures, pardon my picture whoring:rotfl:

If i can get my hands on some dale jr. ones sure i'll sell em. Anyone know where i might be able to get some. Jr. edition in a junk yard anywhere? And yes it is time for a new sig, but its gonna be hard since the yard is full of snow right now:rolleyes:

0-60 vid, already having grip problems:rotfl:

that's gotta be quite the step up from the 3.1, eh? :rotfl:

Leprechaun93 01-06-2013 06:45 PM

Very much, 5th gen did it in about 10 seconds, this one im getting about 7. everything about the way this new one drives is different. The over all handling, the feel of the wheel, brakes and throttle. Its a more pleasurable driving experience over all. But i still have a thing for my 5th gen, had it out today to run errands.

And mike, thats not a bad idea either

MonteCarlSS 01-06-2013 08:22 PM

Looks like a great addition to your collection lol

The_Maniac 01-06-2013 10:05 PM

Great looking Monte! Black is a tough color to keep clean, but when it is and it shines, simply WOW!
So, now you need convinced to register that awesome ride for the GM Nationals in Carlisle PA and come on out in June :)

Yeah, save that transmission and keep it in 3 if you are driving it hard. And save those hubs by not letting traction control fight you

77gp 01-08-2013 07:14 PM

Nice car Keane, Don't be over zealous and tear it up already...
