Thats because the lights are on in the picture you are looking at. You are supposed to see them when they are on or there would be no point in putting them there. Im sure when they are off they are hard to see.

Very nice they turned out well.... as for being illegal, as long as there white and NOT blue or red..... they should be legal everywhere. Like said before, Audi's would not come stock with them if they werent allowed.
