Looks great to me,mine looks the same, minus the housing, need to make one. The inside of your old filter housing looks like it had a chicken suck in there and get de-feathered. I did not have that much in mine, when it came off, just a lot of bugs...

The only 'problem' I had when installing the CAI was getting the 3 screws started that hold the box to the PCM tray, but it was only a couple minute delay. I had to play around with the order I installed them to get them all started, but after that it was a piece of cake. Below is what I wrote about it in the install thread I created:

Place the air box on top of the PCM tray and secure it with the three 1/4" hex head screws. Alignment of the holes in the air box with the tray can be a bit challenging. I found it easiest to start the screws in the order shown in the picture. Once all the screws are started in their holes tighten them. As you do a piece of foam on the underside of the air box will create an interference fit that holds the PCM in place.

When installing the lid, I had to tip it to get the edge under the radiator support:

Holding the cover at an angle, place the front edge of it under the radiator support, then lay the lid on top of the air box making sure the fasteners align with the holes in the air box. Using a slotted screwdriver, press down on a fastener and turn it 1/4 turn to lock it. Repeat for the remaining fasteners.

Hope this helps...

Thanks Mike!
The PCM on 5th gens isn't over there, it's in front of the coolant tank - underneath the fusebox.

It looks great and with a Plexiglas lid you'll be able to see any critters trying to make a bed in there. My father in law's truck had a mouse living in the air cleaner tube. He took it in because it was running sluggish and found it out.
