Default New Intake

Well i finally got the new intake installed. But i think i must have done something wrong somewhere. As the entire installation nothing fit right. So for now it is in there and connected but i can't fit the cover on. Once the weather warms up (only up to 16 right now and its windy) I'm going to take it all out and re do it. Hopefully then everything will fit right. Did anyone else that has this intake have a hard time with installation? Or am i just an idiot...

New 0-60 vid

When i took the stock air box apart i got a surprise inside, see below there was even more in there as i pulled some out before i took the pic.

Loosen all of the bolts and then try to fit everything in before tightening down. Also never full tighten one bolt before hand-tightening the others.

There's a chance you over tightened something and then it won't have the give.

I really think i screwed up the placement on the pcm tray or something, Also i couldn't get the pcm to face the way it was in the instructions, wires were no where near long enough But when putting the box on the pcm tray thats where problems started, the box was hitting the metals supports of the car trying to make it all fit right. Like i said earlier, once it gets warmer i'll re do it all.

When I took my stock intake box out, I also had a huge nest. It was disgusting.

It's not sealed, there is a big hole in the front behind the headlight to let air in, then you have a box, then you have the filter near the intake tube. Since it holds the PCM, it's not just a small container with a filter.

I never noticed that on my 99...
Guess I will have to look a lot closer the next time I change the filter...
Thanks Mike!
